Capture lightening in a bottle

At Red Hat, I wrote a commercial that featured our customer, NASA, and used the previously established tagline “this is what connecting your clouds feels like.” We wanted to show the moment of triumph developers feel when they use our products. I thought, “What if we forgot about the office and showed a developer working from home? What if she spoke to us plainly via voiceover and her kids were playing with toy rockets in the background?” I pitched the script to senior leaders at both IBM (parent company) and Red Hat, and incorporated feedback from SMES, art directors, strategists, and associate creative directors.
